Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, the 30-story Omni Hotel includes 612 rooms and 225 luxury apartments, and 70,000 square feet of meeting space. A unique feature of the Omni Hotel is the Falls City Market, “an emporium of eateries and shops in downtown Louisville.” The hotel’s signature pedestrian thoroughfare serves as a community gateway for hotels and locals alike. Omni Hotel engaged McCoy Design to create visual branding for 14 different food and beverage establishments as well as signage and wayfinding for the hotel and apartments.
Omni Hotel needed its market environment to feel like an upscale market destination, housing a variety of individual brands and shops to explore. Each shop logo and experience needed to feel like it was attached to an individual business, while creating upscale brand continuity throughout the collection of retail stops.
We created full visual identities for fourteen individual Falls City Market businesses, including details like custom wallpaper, a taco truck, and more. (We were over the moon!) We used the Louisville Slugger Font for wayfinding to echo the city’s well-known attractions and destination brands.
We helped Omni Hotel create a ready-made upscale market destination designed to delight guests and engage the local community.
